Which one should I choose?
This is a complex question and is best answered by a discussion with one of our qualified hot water technicians. However basically it is dependent on your intentions and site conditions. If for example your install site is inside a garage or a laundry the Steibel Eltron would be suitable. If you have a high demand for hot water at frequent intervals during the day you will require a model with a back up element. If your household demand in the morning is less than 250 litres and then your next demand would be six hours or more later, then the Dux Aeroheat is by far the better choice as it is the cheapest to run per litre of hot water produced.
How do heat pumps work?
Heat pumps work like an air conditioner in reverse, drawing ambient heat from the atmosphere, concentrating it and transferring it to the water in the tank through a heat exchange coil.
Which is the most efficient hot water solution?
Gas boosted solar, as a guide the higher the Recs per litre the more cost effective the heater is. Refer to tables above.
Do I have to reinforce my roof to install solar?
No we install Dux Sunpro split systems the tank is installed on the ground only the solar panels are on the roof.
Where do I get all the forms for rebates?
We will supply you with all the paper work you need to claim your rebates. Our service technicians will assist you in filling out the forms.
How long does it take for the rebates to come through?
It takes about six weeks.
What if I can’t afford the upfront cost while I am waiting for the rebate?
Finance is available to approved purchasers.
